Buying a home with a shop

I am in the middle of buying a home with a shop and suddenly without warning 3 other people have jumped in and turned my buy into a bidding war with me as the only person who wants to live
there the other are all investors. buy up house fix them up and
sell them quick or rent them out.with only my retirement and disability income I can,t do the loan thing so its got to be a cash sale. all that i have left is some family heirloom i have spoken with my children and they would rather me sell it all and get a home that is handicap adaptable (i am a l5-s1 paraplegic)so i am selling all my vintage family heirloom jewelry and rolling mill. and unique ingot maker.

I have American bear claw squash age unknown oldest piece in it
is 300 years old. each generation added to it. started out as a
simple silver curved plate an heavy silver chain half round hand
pulled my uncle showed me the draw plate and the mold that made
the first piece. the strength to pull this was incredible.the base
mold was set on the fire so the silver stayed liquid when poured
to spread it out and shape it then it was hammered out a bit saw
another one round he said it was for silver bowls. so that how the
pored sheet must have taken a lot of practice. but way cool. later
other part were added and the person who added the center piece a
hand carved from walrus ivory the trail of tears the original art
work of the piece must have really touched him Seneca's are not
much for horses.he also marked it as sterling with his letters for his first and last name and last but not least bear claws hinged. the metal is very thick i do not know when they got a mill but i think it was long after this was made.weighs 8.405 oz was told more the 20 years ago it was worth 12000. taking offers even insulting ones. ow forgot the cord looking stuff is elk sinue

more native style jewelry large bracelet weighs 4.599 oz

smaller bracelet 2.041 oz blood coral ring .151 oz its all real turquoise and blood coral no dyes any thing with bear
claws on it cant be sold in Florida and a few other states does
not matter that everything pre-dates the laws . but they can be given as gifts so if you see a gift you would like i will sell you something else

well lets move on to something more modern less then 100 years old2 solid gold bracelets both 18 k one with no markings just
beautiful bangle half round with hand engraving almost all the way
around a space was left to engrave a name or sentiment. .894 oz or
16.30 dwt

The other is a woven pattern with clasp .864 or 15.75 dwt i can not take less then 3000 for this one out of every thing this hurt the worsted.

both were made in Germany or France do not know which. my mothers
family was right on line.

The mill is a basic one with 2 wire rollers and 2 sheet rollers no
real wear but i did make a lot of wire wanted a combo but budget
at time was lower end not hard to change over if i can do it
anyone can. very easy asking 190 plus shipping about 35 large flat
rate box if i take it apart not all the way it will fit in large
flat rate box. they will take up to 70 lb which is good i do not
know the weight but it is heavy only indication of ware is where i
bolted it down.took a bit of paint off around bolt holes 2 of them
and a few parts no rust it claims to be a 4to1 to be honest i
think they fibbed i would say 3 to 1 despite spec sheet. but who
knows maybe it is and i am a weakling.

last but not least a ingot maker set up so you can do it one
handed has hookup for propane or acetylene and air so you do not
need your torch.that part is removable if you do not like it. have 2 crucibles
used one other never used was saving it for gold. ingot is sheet
adjustable fits in this cast iron base steel body contraption just put in metal and fire it up when metal is ready you just grab the handle and put down all done. cool but better for some one who is afraid of pouring by hand or is handicapped you could do this with a foot ha ha.not
really funny i know we have a few very disabled people on this
sight i am not the only one some much worse of then me. that who i
hope gets this one gentlemen has been on my mind holding his torch
in his mouth.this would be prefect for him. gas goes on top tube and air on side or just take it of and fire with your other torch. this is ajustable and very easy to use

I got it as a present when a freind saw me in shorts and i had some nasty burns on my legs i told him it was spilling a pot of boiling water i just did not get ice and ointment on all of it how can you when you cant feel it. but i think some where in his mind was that torch. so i did get a few burns from being a dumb ass i turned the torch off and droped it across my lap i had on a work apron that goes to my feet but the side of my leg was exposed. did it a few times before i found the burns. I can not find the price of this gadget can only guess over 100 I got the extra crucible from national but they went under i never used it. the other was used for silver you can use other last but not least a ingot maker set up so you can do it one

I have almost 40 days to ajust my bid the buyers broker thinks i need 15 to 20 that thousands more it is a short sale worth 6 times what i am offering it sat for a long time no body gave it a look till i put in a bid then the investor came out of the wood work like cockrochess they are. the only thing in my favor is the bank prefure resident buyers but with cash they could care less who they sell to. hopfully some of those investores are barrowing the money.

ON THE MOVE AGAIN well it breaks my heart but I am leaving the key. just the thought has me in tears but I can't keep the bills paid and no real services for the handicapped. they took my drivers license and have to jump though all this red tape but where there is wheels There is a way. and i have no shortage of wheels.. this week I get new braces and a walker. new challenge is learning how to walk with legs that don't work. the trick is shifting my hip to move my leg and the braces keep me up that and hold on to the walker. can't wait try ed practising with out braces and landed on my back side. then i fell out of bed trying to get into my wheelchair this morning. boy can i hear it now on Wednesday. how the ********&^^% those bruises. ya my doc can cuss like a sailor and he has a temper. he is the best and he is the only man on earth who can get away with yelling at me. I will miss him. how many people can say there doctor was the king of key west fantasy fest. only in the keys.I was very privileged to have had him taking care of me and my family. can you say that you have your doctors cell no#and he will come to your side night or day and stay with you even when all he can do is hold your hand or buy your med's one month when you can't. that is my doctor, i know i will never find another like him. To bad he is gay i have always had a crush on him. How come most of the really good men are gay? well my new temporary home will be some where in Brevard county around the spacecoast. looking for a long term residence but can't do that long distance. adjusting from island life will not be easy. but no way can I afford to be near the water.

The Night mare that is my life continues is there a sticker on my forhead that says "born suck take me for all I have".

Ok I do not have a clue where to start but I am house or apartment hunting again. turns out my new landlady is a con artest and junky. Life has turned into a night mare. the nightly smell of pot and the brake ins that are depleting me of my meds very quickly. I can't leave the house with out taking all my meds with me and putting everything of sellable value in my car or bank safe. I finely get a little gold and poof its gone. guess she could care less about silver in odd shaped ingots. OK to more clauses to add to any lease if you buy a home you have the right to break you lease now the important one. should the landlord use the property to commit a crime or commits a crime on the property you are renting that you have the right to terminate the lease and the landlord is to pay all expenses related to the rental and the move. landlords do credit checks on use and check our with our old landlords to see we are good tenets. WHY are we not check them out had i done that I would have found a long string of people who had been taken by this woman. BE WARNED LANDLORDS now I will check you credit and with you record as a landlord. have references ready. I do make mistakes but rarely the same one twice. God I am stuck here for 2 more months I paid my rent 2 week early to help her out. the police have been here 3 times already this month. I only called once and I think the new tenet who just started to move and is already moving out may call again because of the fraud. and to think I help her by placing the ad that got that tenet, trust me I have apologized till I was blue in the face. and done all I can to make amends. if a landlord asks you to place a ad take it as a hint they can't place one for them selves for a good reason.

new centrifuge

Well for a year now I have wanted to learn casting some nice person sent me a home make how to manual all I needed was equipment. a bit hard to come by when money is real tight or in my case almost none existent. last week I saw a centrifuge listed on eBay it was in with the medical equipment you know the blood centrifuges used to separate blood. so on one even knew it was there and he had a very low start price way to low as i was the only bidder. it arrive today and it is way bigger then any casting machine i have ever seen and heavy. solid stainless steel. but no makers name can be found so I know nothing at all about this machine. spines very fast but i do not know how to wind it up there is a little pin that pops up I can pull it up by hand but i do not even know which way to wind this up. or if the spring inside is any good. If anyone knows anything about this machine please contact me. some how I think I purchase way more machine then I could ever use. I think you could make entire trees of rings with this not the one or two little pendents I planned on using it for.

Some of us have our lives changed by small degrees and others suddenly for me dec 27th2007 was the end of a 30+ years occupation as a chef and kitchen manager but I was lucky as a teen to learn smithing from one of the few Iroquois silversmiths still working with the knowledge passed down generation to generation. The Navaho where not the only native tribe to use smithing but the Iroquois learned a few tricks from the French. One of the first things I learned is if you want to learn how to make jewelry first you have to learn to make your tools. Well Now that I am in need of a new occupation that will allow for a few restrictions I will be making jewelry, So I am making my tools. While I was making my tools, I starting making some to sell, only to find out how popular they are, and that very few poeple even remember how. I will gladly make any tools to order sometimes you have a design in your head but need a tool that does not exist to bring it to life let me make it for you.

ok for 6 months now I have wanted to start a online store for my tools the more research I did the more confused I got. after reading yahoo’s pitch seamed simple and easy. the 39 is 39 a month not a year and that gets you 5 picture and items to sell. and they also get a % and and and. OK all I ended up with was the domain name Iwanted. chasingtool.com but when I did a a basic search for chasingtools using yahoo search nothing. ended up giving up on page 10 when all I was getting was chasing dog tails and assorted other s**t, so I link it with this site in the hope that at least some good will come of it. ow forget they get the right to withdraw money from my paypal at will. auto pay. see if you can find me. I did up a very nice first page but in the end it overlaped on the text to many ways so many times that even my contact info could not be read.

Home at last

Hi every one I am home at last,
thanks for some of emails encouraging me. I had surgery on my spine and it fail and unfortunately I am worse off now then before, but I still have most of the use of my hands, just got out of the spinal rehab unit in Miami. Worked very hard and surpassed every mark they set but its now official I am a paraplegic. there I said it that’s the hard part. the rehab was the best thing I could have done for my self because of them I can do almost every thing I need to do for my self. even with a full body cast on. yup from my hip to my upper chest is a cast. 6 more weeks and I can get rid of it. next week a new challenge one I have been doing for 35 years, I get to learn to drive. ow man independence yaaaaa. I have spent the past week trying to set up my bench almost done 3 little bracket are kicking my *&^&*^& but I am not giving up. the space is 6×4 ok its really small, have a copy of bench book, thank god I would never have gotten what I have in that small space with out all the ideas from that book. when I get that last shelf hung (the three brackets) I will post all new photos managed to get a very small table top bench and a few tools from the sale of my chasing tools which I am starting to stock pile so if any one needs some my prices are the cheapest around probably to cheap but the work is first rate. time to buy some metal and realy get to work 4 hour a day on pt and 4 on jewelry and tools makes for a full day work. did I forget to mention I think doctors are full of them selfs.(WAY NICER THEN I WANT TO SAY IT) I WILL WALK WITHIN THE NEXT 6 MONTHS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL IT TO USE IT.

spinal rehab unit

we here it is 12/22 and i am still here but good news is next monday i go home. fun part i will not be going with the wheelchair that was ordered for me its not ready but at least i now know why I can't walk. dec 17th the doctor shows up and fess up the part that pisses me off the most is he start out with a lie he has been keep track of me and did i know know i should not be smoke here is a vanilla milk shake for much more healthly (i passed out 6 hour before because i have hypoglyseama probobly missed spelt) my blood sugar dropped to 60 because i cant have sugar and the was some in my morning juice10% juice the rest was sugar can we say busted at this piont??????? then he tell me and draw this sketch showing me what happened. end result he pulled on a root nerve and damaged it to a point i cant walk or use the bathroom more then likly for the rest of my life. not a real happy person right now but all i can think about is getting a bit stronger getting home getting to work and leaving this behind me. miami stinks, it loud, i miss the salt air and the peace of my little island.

sorry everone for not keep in up with this on dec 1st they operated on my spine but it did not go as well as hoped was to be home 2 days later here is is 2 weeks later and will be a few more weeks before i can even think of comeing home. i now am the proud owner of some jewelry i will never see its suporting my spine. well have to go doctors need to talk to me see you all later thanks for you good wishes and prayers love to you all jen

I have no idea how to start this its just to much to be believable. well to start john's mom and mine are both sick, both have cancer but johns mom is doing really bad. she tells john she is ready to go. So off we go to Denver as fast as we can arrange thing. eBay stuff packed as fast is I can get it done. as a result I now owe two refunds. Two boxes arrived smashed. so much for my packing. John made the reservations thinks it will save a few hundred leaving out of fort Lauderdale. hummmmmm gas , parking, extras wow boy those extras really got us. we lost about 700 flying out of fort Lauderdale. I know just does not add up. key west Miami or Lauderdale. well let us see how that happened called for parking, internet had handicap lot a mile or so from airport called park and ride. sounded great. park your car about 8 aday that's cheap. and give you a ride to the airport and best of all handicap too. was all over that one. other parking for handicap was 15 so thought I just had really lucked out. lucked out all right, they lied. they have a handicap space but you have to push your wheelchair the mile or so down the highway and hope you survive or you can call a cab because they will not under any circumstance transport some one in a wheel chair they will take my money but only give me half the service I paid for. the managers idea was to cancel my reservation but of course it would take a while before they could give me my money back. TAXI. should have paid the 15 aday more on this part of the story later when we return to get our car. then it goes from bad to worse (or should I say from bad to abuse) well it was about 5 hour drive from big pine key to Lauderdale between rain rush hour and the fact that the pain in my back was getting to bad had to stop every hour. I was ready to cry by the time we got there but was afraid to take full dose of my meds. air port police do not like you to fly when you are smashed on meds. so I held off taking them till we were getting on board. that was another mistake. real bumpy take off did me in. MORE LATER THE FUN HAS YET TO START.

Hi every one Just finished reading some other blogs from people who's work , just amazes me art jeweller aka Hans just posted a Tutorials on making a fused ring and as always I just loved it. This week on my eBay sight I was asked when I was putting up my own web sight and would I include tutorial's on how to use the tools I sell chasing and repousse. but I have my reservations about it there are others who's work is far better then mine like Handforged by Kirsten Skiles. I am rusty at all my skills, but I also know its like riding a bike its coming back. I have been practicing different aspects of the work and I am improving and with the help of others like Hans I will be some day soon post my own tutorials. I have also been thinking of making graver's for sale. I think it would make a nice addition to my tool inventory and they are very easy to make. We I have some bad news to share as well, I am leaving for Denver with my husband at the end of the week. Johns mother is getting sicker and the whole family is getting together.
